CLOUD COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY LTD was founded in 2001 by Mr. Kuo Shu-tang and today has paid-in capital of NT$28 million. In its early years the company concentrated on outsourced MIS services and on developing and selling WiFi-related products, later moving toward government programs and BOT/PPP advisory services for smart services.
From 2015 Cloud Communication Technology moved into Bluetooth iBeacon positioning and wayfinding, and won business in venues such as airports, hospitals, exhibition halls and museums. In 2017 the company took part in the Bluetooth iBeacon deployment at Hong Kong airport, opening up airport digital twin applications. Since 2021 it has invested continuously in AI applications and value-added software maintenance services, and has built system integration and adjustment capabilities covering system maintenance, architecture changes, and the use of AI to improve optimization and maintenance efficiency.
Cloud Communication Technology also has extensive experience with government tenders, particularly taking over and maintaining existing systems. The company is skilled at modeling future usage scenarios and assessing risk against the requirements, then setting a phased development and architecture adjustment strategy on that basis. Past projects include the "Antiquities Monitoring System and Mobile Inspection System Expansion and Operations Project (Phase 2)" for the Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture, and "Channel Partner Mobile Service App System Maintenance and Enhancement" for Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation.
Company Milestones
Launched a Type II virtual telecom (VISP) business providing circuit and bandwidth access services to internet cafe operators; the business was sold in 2003.
Launched Type II value-added virtual telecom services (VISR), providing MPLS VPN and VoIP cost-reduction services to Taiwanese businesses operating across the strait; the business was sold in 2010.
Launched a virtual voice service provider (VVSP) business focused on IVR digital voice and live customer service; the business was sold in 2015.
Launched mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services, offering data cards with no phone number and international roaming; the business was sold in 2020.
Began developing virtual cloud services (VCSP), which continue today, taking enterprises from physical servers to server virtualization and from virtual machines to cloud services, with a commitment to the serverless field.
Developed generative AI services, applied mainly to generative information security services and generative services for large documents.
